Unfriended: Dark Web Trailer Is A Step Up

Call this the summer, or actually the year, of horror. The horror renaissance continues as Blumhouse’s Unfriended: Dark Web trailer and release date has just been released. The movie will open, July 20 and the brand new trailer we’ve got for you below.

I have to say, compared to 2015’s Unfriended, this sequel really seems to be a step up from the original. First of all, there seems to be a much more developed and feasible plot. And the added element of the little movies inside the movie will seemingly make the pacing a little less stale. The first one was literally just people’s up-close faces screaming and crying on Skype, so I’m happy to see this one will show a little more action throughout.

And to be honest, this one actually looks kind of scary. The first one felt like a gimmick that was trying too hard, but this one shows a much more serious horror movie filled with jumps, twists and tense moments. No sign of any actual gore, but who knows. I’m kind of into it, surprisingly. And I’m also hopeful since the producers of Get Out, The Purge and Happy Death Day are attached to it. That’s promising. I’ll definitely give it a shot.
